When do we get our money back?
The US Supreme Court has ruled against US President Donald Trump's decision to impose a raft of global tariffs.
Six of the court's nine judges voted to overturn the signature economic policy.
The judgment was in response to an application brought by businesses affected by the tariffs from 12 mostly Democrat-run states.
The applicants challenged US President Donald Trump's use of an executive order to impose the sweeping country-specific taxes.
Trump latest: Tariffs snubbed by Supreme Court
From 2 April, a day described by Mr Trump as "Liberation Day", countries across the world were hit with taxes on their exports.
Source: Threads, Sky News.
NB: I have many questions. On Liberation day or soon after Apple shares fell from $223 to $169 or about 24%. Will we see a recovery of 20% now that Trump tariffs are declared invalid? Will Apple receive its tariff payments back? How big is the refund?
"Companies have already filed hundreds of protective lawsuits seeking to preserve their ability to claim refunds from the government for tariffs they have already paid, in the event the court struck down the levies."
At time of writing Apple shares are up 0.6%.

A refund of $3.3B would be great but earnings will go up just a couple percent for the year. Making and selling enough iPhones to fill demand would be far more impactful.
